Frequently asked questions

What is a good reaction time?

Most people average between 200 and 300 ms on a visual test like this one. Under 200 ms is fast, and under 170 ms is typical of trained gamers and athletes.

Why is my score slower on some devices?

Screens, mice and touchscreens add their own delay, usually 10–50 ms. A wired mouse and a high refresh rate monitor give the most accurate result.

How can I improve my reaction time?

Good sleep, a short warm-up and staying relaxed help the most. Practising regularly gives small gains, while tiredness and caffeine crashes make results worse.

Is my score saved?

Your best average is saved in your browser so you can track it over time. It is never sent to a server.
